Teenagers Times Four

There are now four teenagers in this house! All the make-up, skin care products, hair care products, nail polish and shoes... every where! It's insanity, but it's my insanity and overall, I love it.

Everyone is doing well. None of the kids have an average lower than a B, Cayla and Ad are looking into taking college classes before they graduate and it's looking like Karly and Kendra will be able to also.

Cayla wants a boyfriend which I'm okay with I suppose, but I worry that she's trying to grow up too fast. Ad doesn't want a steady girlfriend, but he is considering asking a girl in his class on a date.

Thankfully, neither Karly nor Kendra have mentioned any boys to me, but that doesn't mean they're not interested. They're very close with Cayla and Ad so I'm sure there have been talks.

I'm glad little Brenna is still a little girl. She still enjoys me reading to her and lets me play games with her. At least until this Friday when she joins the teenage ranks of the Middleton house.

I worry that Ash is a little too serious most of the time and he still misses his grandma from time to time (Gianna's mom passed away), but all in all he's doing well.

It took me a long time to get over the divorce. Gianna and I still aren't on the best of terms, but we're able to be civil and spend time together with the children. I'm happy though and enjoying life. I've considered dating again, but I just don't have the time to devote to it. Maybe I'll consider it again when Ash is older if I'm not too old myself by then.

Settling Settlements

Through the divorce, Gianna had to pay me all the money she hid. My attorney wanted to make her pay more, but I refused. We'll be ok with just getting back the money she hid and she's going to need the money more than me since she had to move out of her mom's house and pay child support for the kids. I almost feel bad about that, but then I remind myself that she's the one who put herself (and all of us) in this situation to begin with. Had she just been honest and told me she wanted out, she probably would've ended up with more money than she had tucked away dishonestly.

Gianna did ask the kids to come visit a couple times after she got settled into her new place. She came and spent time with the kids for Springfest too and helped them with their egg hunt. They all had fun and I'll admit to enjoying watching them running all over the house and giggling. I cooked a fish dinner and while we didn't all sit down together to eat, everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Brenna had a birthday and started grade school. She looked so adorable that first morning with her little backpack and blonde curls. Tomorrow is Ash's birthday. I'm a little sad about that, but also looking forward to no more stinky potty chairs! The very next day Cayla and Ad will be teenagers. I can't believe I'm already old enough to have teenagers!

Betrayal

I found out last night that Gianna has been taking money from our account and putting it into a secret account she had created with only her name on it. She'd tell me she was paying bills and was instead putting money into this secret account. She had thousands of dollars. Her plan was to take the majority of the money then leave for what she called a vacation. The problem for her is that she didn't know it, but I had found her plane ticket. It's a one way ticket. She never planned to come back.

I am heartbroken and divorced and alone with six small children. She moved out, I think to her mother's. I don't even know for sure. She loves the kids, I know she does, but she never once mentioned when she would see them and didn't ask to take them with her. Maybe the full house was just too much stress for her. I won't give up my kids, but I'd certainly like for us to have shared custody so they still have ample time with their mother. Hopefully she doesn't let them down on that.

I don't even know which bills are behind yet or by how much. I may have to get a job to make sure we all have what we need. I'm starting to regret not getting that university education my father wanted me to have.

Moving Birthday

We spent yesterday moving to Oasis Springs to a much bigger house. Then we enjoyed the evening celebrating Asher's birthday. Time certainly flies. It seems like no more than three days ago when he was born!

This weekend, Brenna and I have our own birthdays to celebrate. Watching her run around the house in her diaper, it's hard to believe she'll be starting school just next week.

Gianna and I have both put on weight and have agreed to work on getting healthier together.
